I’m a big fan of angles.
Shot with my Nikon D200 and Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm f/3.4-4.5 lens. All natural light, no flash was used on any of the photographs. My goal today was to test out some new settings a colleague recommend I try out with my D200. The settings are below if you want to try them out for your camera. I could see a difference in the quality of the photographs as opposed to my normal settings. The colors were a little sharper and vibrant.
Shooting Menu —> Optimize Image —> Custom
Image Sharpening = +2
Tonal Compensation = A (automatic)
Color Mode = III
Saturation = + Enhanced
Hue Adjustment = 0 degrees
Shooting Menu —> Color Space
sRGB

I thought it was funny that people were getting parking tickets on a Saturday.

241/365 - Where Are You Headed in Life? on Flickr.
© 2012 Eric Adeleye Photography. http://www.eaphotography.us
You can either allow life to take you somewhere, or you can take control of life and go to where you want to be. Life can be hard and difficult at times, but you cannot permit adversity to stall, impede, or kill your aspirations. Being stuck in the same place, feeling like you are not moving forward or closer to your goals and dreams breads suffocating frustration. Making an effort to achieve the desires of your heart is much better than just standing still. Failure is better than not trying at all. Success and winning are not accidental events in life, they are orchastrated achievements that are planned and pursued until attained. Which person are you? The one who watches things happen in life, or the one who knows that failure is a part of success and that you have to actively make things happen within life to experience the achievement of your dreams.

This is a self portrait of me checking out Michael D. Dunn’s first issue of Deviant Beauty. This is strong work that I recommend. Photograph was taken with the Nikon D200, AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm lens, Yongnuo RF-603 triggers, Aperture: f/3.2, Shutter: 1/1000, ISO: 125.

My 40th birthday self portrait taken with my iPhone 4S. I tried to do something different for my 40th Birthday self portrait. I enjoy laughing and wanted to do something that I thought was funny. You should always take a self portrait at least once a year.

Zyire is with his grandmother, and always ready to have his photograph taken. I don’t even have to give Zyire a block of instructions on posing, he just does it whenever a camera is pointed his way. Zyire is a smart lad!

I just got another DVD issue of PhotoVision in the mail. You can’t beat the price for subscribing to PhotoVision’s training material and they send new discs straight to your door. No Internet required to view the trainig, they do offer digital downloads now too. Check them out, I highly recommend PhotoVision. If you don’t invest in yourself, you will not grow as a creative professional, and fail to separate yourself from other photographers.
This photograph was shot with my Nikon D200, AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens, and Yongnuo RF-603 triggers. I had to sit the D200 inside the mailbox and use the wireless Yongnuo RF-603 triggers to fire the camera. It only took a few shots to get the picture I was after.
